Abandoned Infant Assistance program (AIA)
Nuestras Familias Project

Nuestras Familias (NF) provides free services for Latino families with children 0 to 6 years old that are impacted by drug or alcohol abuse and/or HIV/AIDS in the city of Santa Ana, California.

Our objective is to work with families to prevent the abandonment of infants and young children exposed to HIV/AIDS and/or substance abuse.

Services Include:

  • In-home support / case management
  • Health Education
  • Parenting classes
  • In-home therapy
  • Substance abuse counseling
  • Family support
  • Permanency planning
  • Child-focused services
  • Individual, family and group counseling
The program provides services through a team approach. The team consists of a Master's level Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT Intern), a psychologist (Psy.D), a certified Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor(CDAC), an HIV Counselor and a Family Support worker. All NF staff is bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural.

Our goal is to offer home based services to targeted families to increase family stability and self sufficiency.
