Latino Family Institute (LFI) is an adoption agency specializing in the diverse Latino community. Our goal is to develop a pool of adoptive families who will develop the necessary skills to become successful parents.

Foster Care
Foster parents provide a supportive and stable environment for children temporarily unable to live with their parents due to family problems. In most cases, the foster parents work with agency staff to reunite the child with their birth parent(s).

Kinship Care
Latino Family Institute will assist you in your kinship adoption process through a grant awarded by the California Department of Social Service (CDSS), Adoption's Bureau. Kinship adoption recognizes the importance of family ties. LFI offers a variety of supportive services to Kinship families. Our goal is to guide you through the adoption process. LFI also provides ongoing Post adoption services.

Infant Adoption Awareness Training
Latino Family Institute and our collaborating agencies are united in our endeavor to improve awareness and knowledge of infant adoption among health care professionals in California and Puerto Rico. The Infant Adoption Awareness Training Program (IAATP), a one-day curriculum developed through a grant awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services, is designed to assist health care professionals in providing adoption information and referral to pregnant women on an equal basis with all other courses of action included in nondirective counseling.

Abandoned Infants Assistance (AIA): Nuestras Familias
Nuestras Familias (NF) provides free services for Latino families with children 0 to 6 years old that are impacted by drug or alcohol abuse and/or HIV/AIDS in the city of Santa Ana, California.

Our objective is to work with families to prevent the abandonment of infants and young children exposed to HIV/AIDS and/or substance abuse.
