Ambar Mejia, MSW
Social Worker
Adoption & Foster Care Program
Ambar Mejia graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2015. As part of her academic achievements, she participated in the Geriatric Social Work Education Consortium (GSWEC) and is also a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society.
Ambar has a background with working with at-risk seniors to help them remain safely in their homes through the Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP). Ambar has also experienced working with adults with mental health illnesses through the Full-Service Partnership program (FSP).
Ambar has worked at Latino Family Institute since 2015 as a foster and adoption social worker. Ambar’s responsibilities are to support birth parents, adoptive parents and children in the process of adoption and foster care.
